Today is Monday. A day which lately I haven't enjoyed. It takes me a lot of time to start doing my things and honestly speaking not with a lot of motivation. I feel stressed for the many things I got to do, but also just finding 1,000 excuses not to do them. Every Monday is a reminder of the large items in my to do list that are just piling up day after day.

Monday then, is the day I have decided to start this blog, but trust me, it took me quite a long time to get to this point. All these time asking to myself: What motivates me? What could be my next big thing? Am I being a good father? Am I the best version of me as a husband? Why colleagues are progressing faster than me? Am I really at my full potential at work? If not what is holding me back? Why takes me so much effort to start something? And when I finally start, why takes me so much to continue until its end?.

These and many more questions had come to my mind. My goal then is not to necessarily to answer them, as this will mean to have a final and unique solution to things that I tend to think has many answers, but rather find the way to reflect on them and get the most positive outcome of those. So, as probably many of you, I started to read books, listen to podcasts, going to therapy, hire a coach, and talking to people. Then you realize many of us are going thru this, many are looking to answer similar questions.

Hence this blog, that whilst my intention is not answer those for you, it is to share:

  1. What have I found interesting and my self reflection on it
  2. How these relates to me and how can I put it in practice
  3. Finally who said it and where you can find it

I wish with these I can start some sort of curation exercise of sharing what has being useful to me, hoping someone will find it interesting as well, furthermore will love to read your impressions as well.

In addition to the above, an important part of any personal realization it is your passion, hobbies etc. So you will see as well posts around mine: Travel, Beer, House cooking.

So, lets give it a try to these blog in an effort to get out my comfort zone

Thanks for your attention, and see you? Write you? Read you? soon.

Gerardo

PS: I am not an experienced blogger. As of today I have zero followers, and zero readers. Contrary to many of the blogs and motivation audios, I am a 8–5 (or more) worker in a multinational company. But I’ll be authentic and transparent and first and foremost looking to work on myself, and I hope in the journey I can help you too.
